WALK TALK THERAPY

eco-therapy and mind-body connection

When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine. Hormones such as Cortisol release to relieve stress and Seratonin to stimulate the mood and suppress anxiety. Walking while talking about issues that cause stress, depression and anxiety allows for a more fluid emotional release. Other therapist who have used a somatic approach in their therapy, report that the duration of therapy is shorter than in-office face-to-face couch therapy. Hence, the sooner one will feel healthier and more grounded.
