WALK TALK THERAPY

eco-therapy and mind-body connection

When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine. Hormones such as Cortisol release to relieve stress and Seratonin to stimulate the mood and suppress anxiety. This allows for a more fluid emotional release while talking about issues that cause stress, depression and anxiety. Other therapist who have used a somatic approach in their therapy, report that the duration of therapy is shorter than in-office face-to-face couch therapy. Hence, the sooner one will feel healthier and more grounded.
